1. Who we are
Texas Electrical Exam Prep ("we") is operated by MITRYXA (https://mitryxa.com). This policy explains what we collect when you use texaselectricalexamprep.com, why, and what you can do about it.
2. What we collect
Account: your name, email address and password hash, or your Google profile name and email if you sign in with Google. Your preferred language.
Study activity: lessons opened and completed, questions answered, mock exams taken and their scores, with dates and times. This powers your progress and analytics, and forms the record of your use of the product if a payment dispute arises.
Payments: collected by MITRYXA and processed by Stripe. Your statement shows MITRYXA* TXELECPREP. We never store your card number or CVV; Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data.
Purchase and consent records: the exact wording you were shown and agreed to at checkout, the time, the approximate location of your connection (country, region, city from your IP address), browser and device details, and the page you arrived from. The IP address itself is stored only as a one-way hash.
Messages: contact-form messages, including name, email, subject and text, so we can reply and keep a support history. Every email we send you is logged (recipient, template, time) so that nothing is ever sent twice.
Technical data: browser type, operating system, hashed IP address and device identifiers, for security and to make the site work.
3. How we use it
To run the platform and keep your progress; to process payments; to send transactional email (welcome, receipts, password resets, a pass-expiry notice, at most one study reminder a week, which you can turn off); to answer your messages; to improve the content; to comply with the law and enforce our terms. We do not send marketing email unless you opted in.
4. Who processes it
We do not sell or rent personal information. Service providers that process data on our behalf: Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payments), Anthropic (the AI tutor; your questions to it are sent to their API and are not used to train their models), Resend (email delivery), Vercel (hosting), Google Analytics (usage measurement). Each is bound by contract to use the data only to provide its service. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in a business transfer.
5. Analytics and cookies
Essential cookies keep you signed in. Google Analytics sets analytics cookies with IP anonymisation and without advertising features. You can turn analytics off for this browser here:

6. Security
All traffic is encrypted in transit. Data is stored in Supabase with row-level security so an account can only read its own rows. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, personal data is deleted or anonymised within 30 days, except purchase and consent records, which are kept for as long as a payment could still be disputed, and anything the law requires us to keep.
8. Your rights
You may access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and object to certain processing. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what is collected and the right to delete. Email mit@mitryxa.com; we answer within 30 days.
9. Children
The platform is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If we learn that we have, we delete it.
10. Changes
Updates are posted here with a new date. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
